The Bowie County Community Supervision and Corrections Department operates the Bowie County Women’s Recovery Center (BCWC). BCWC is a state grant-funded facility for women offenders who have a problem with substance abuse and have been court-ordered to complete inpatient treatment. The facility houses 100 female residents, serving both felony and misdemeanor cases, from all judicial districts in the State of Texas.
